General Switchgear and Lighting Industries (GSLI) were established in 1996, as the first MV and LV switchgear manufacturer in the State of Qatar. It has a partnership with Bahrain Switchgear and Lighting Industries (BSLI), a well known Electrical Materials manufacturer in Bahrain . Associations were also made with International manufacturer and Suppliers of electrical components such as General Electric (GE) USA , Bticino and Lavato to ensure that the manufactured product was of a superior quality.

During the year 2003 with its massive expansion program, General Industries has started the first Electrical cable production line in the state of Qatar . Nowadays, with its modern manufacturing and testing facilities, it manufactures general purpose wiring cables, flexible cables and communication cables under stringent quality control system, Further; GSLI manufactures light fittings, cable tray and PVE conduits with fittings.

General Switchgear and Lighting Industries employed well qualified and experienced staffs and firmly committed to ensure the quality of its products all the times. Mean time, GSLI has decided to utilize its modern testing lab to perform the required test for third party and provide test reports.
